The quest

Tokyo showdown!

Lately I’ve enjoyed doing some different work – spending a bit of time on illustrations like this instead of the usual cartoons. This one was inspired by my excitement over Guillermo Del Toro’s new film, Pacific Rim, which I can’t wait for.

Recently I’ve very happily contributed to a new book by Brian Switek called My Beloved Brontosaurus: On the Road with Old Bones, New Science, and Our Favorite Dinosaurs.

Brian is the author of the critically acclaimed Written in Stone: Evolution, the Fossil Record, and Our Place in Nature. He’s a regular online columnist for Smithsonian and Wired, has written for Scientific AmericanNatureThe Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian, and from my dealings with him seems like a really nice guy.

It really does sound like a great read and I’m chuffed to be a part of it so head over to Amazon and check it out – My Beloved Brontosaurus.

So I’ve decided to create a facebook page for seemikedraw. I’ve had quite a bit of interest in doing prints so thought maybe I could use the page to do some competitions for signed prints and whatever else comes to mind (haven’t thought it out much yet!). Anyway, now comes the compulsory plea for your approval! If you’d be gracious enough to head on over and give me a like then I’ll be extremely grateful…

Check it out here.

Thanks!

Or, more accurately, this cartoon is extremely lowbrow and has been sitting on my computer with no purpose until I decided “screw it, I’ve drawn it so I’ll post it”

I’ve just been rather busy. As you can see, when I’ve had time I’ve been working on Urf with my friend Phil from the Rut, but the rest of my time has been spent on a project which will hopefully prove fruitful and make me rich and famous.

And so until things calm down a bit, See Mike Draw continues to suffer a severe case of neglect.
