Actually elephant’s memories are far better than they let on. They propagate the rumours because most of them are involved in black market ivory trading, and it’s convenient for them to use their memory as an excuse for when the fuzz shows up.

Ok, I have to admit that I totally forgot to draw the tusks. Don’t think I was concentrating back in biology class! Let’s just say they went to the ivory trade. It was a horrible incident that unfortunately he’ll never forget.

Actually cowgalutah, if it does have a back it’s probably in a rather uncomfortable position, which could explain his expression.

Ha! At *least* two levels! Having the symbol (mascot? familiar?) of the Republican party claim during questioning that he doesn’t remember anything is funnily understated. Maybe the lack of tusks was actually a subconscious allusion to the emasculated–but still somehow mighty–individual being questioned? Is it considered a “stress posture” when an elephant has to sit on a tiny stool?
