Recently I’ve very happily contributed to a new book by Brian Switek called My Beloved Brontosaurus: On the Road with Old Bones, New Science, and Our Favorite Dinosaurs.

Brian is the author of the critically acclaimed Written in Stone: Evolution, the Fossil Record, and Our Place in Nature. He’s a regular online columnist for Smithsonian and Wired, has written for Scientific AmericanNatureThe Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian, and from my dealings with him seems like a really nice guy.

It really does sound like a great read and I’m chuffed to be a part of it so head over to Amazon and check it out – My Beloved Brontosaurus.

Whoa, so my last post was BEFORE Game of Thrones! Tsk tsk – so very slack. Anyways, I’m back! (until I slack off again of course). Oh, and if you’re experiencing Higgsteria, you can get this on a shirt here.

I’m on Twitter now, where I’ll be putting blog updates as well as the (dodgy) cartoons that don’t go on my blog, so check out @seemikedraw if you like. My millionth follower gets a FREE cheese slicer!!

…according to the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics, that is. Anyway, I think it’s time to lift the lid and see if it’s actually alive. I miss doing it! As always, time is the key, but I do have a little more of it these days so let’s see how I go.

PS – Oh and I’d also like to hijack this auspicious occasion to plug a bunch of new t-shirts I’ve been working on over at Neatorama.com, including this one and some Star Wars themed ones.
